Calling all members on the Lordship Estate
We are in urgent need of volunteers to help collect subscriptions from the Lordship area. The job involves collecting subscriptions, once a year, from houses in the streets near you. Taking a pleasant stroll round on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, meeting other members, collecting money and delivering the handbook. At the moment the few collectors we have are calling on sometimes from up to 40 people, which is a lot to ask so with an extra 2 people we can cut the rounds to approximately 25 which is much more reasonable. If you can spare a couple of weekends in September please call Jo Schurch (membership secretary) on 07913 774504 or e-mail jo.schurch@hotmail.co.uk

Visitors From China
Through our contact at the University College, London, we were delighted to once again contribute to a study trip to Letchworth Garden City. The delegation was primarily composed of five Senior Scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including key people from the Department of Rural and Urban studies and the D.G of the Agriculture Commission from Shanghai.
